Kalamaili Nature Reserve

After breakfast, our guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby to start your Silk Road adventure. Travel along National Highway 216, passing through the vast Gurbantunggut Desert, home to wildlife. Marvel at the Kalamaili Nature Reserve, where wild donkeys and goats roam.

As you approach Huoshaoshan Mountain, enjoy the dramatic red landscape formed by coal seams spontaneously catching fire. Stop for photos before continuing your journey, taking in the varied and beautiful scenery.

Kanas Lake

Start your day with an early breakfast before a scenic 3-hour drive to Kanas Nature Reserve. Enjoy the stunning mountain views along the way.

Once you reach Jiadengyu, have lunch and then take a shuttle bus into the heart of the reserve. As you approach Kanas Lake, be amazed by its beauty. Often called the "Swiss Alps of the East," the lake is surrounded by untouched nature and simple local life. The lake's waters change colors with the seasons, from clear blue to emerald green and sometimes misty gray. Spend time exploring the shore and capturing the views.

Take a peaceful walk along the Kanas River, passing through lush forests and picturesque bays like Fairy Bay, Wolong Bay, and Moon Bay. Don’t miss Wild Duck Lake, another perfect spot for photos.

Hemu Village

Start your day with an optional early morning to catch the stunning sunrise over the Kanas Scenic Area, weather permitting. Then, enjoy a scenic drive to Hemu Village, one of China’s Tuva settlements.

Upon arrival, take a shuttle bus into the village, a paradise for photographers. The peaceful surroundings, with forests and grazing livestock, make for a beautiful landscape. Walk through the village to see the traditional lifestyle of the Tuva people, who have lived here for centuries.

Eerqisi River

Start your day early to catch the stunning sunrise over Hemu Village. After enjoying the peaceful morning, leave the village and drive to Burqin. Your destination is the Multi-colored Bay, shaped by wind and water erosion.

The Yadan landform, with its vivid colors from mineral deposits, contrasts beautifully with the greenery along the Eerqisi River. As the sun sets, the colorful rocks, river, and forest create a scene like an oil painting. Don’t miss the suspension bridge at the end, adding to the view.

Xinjiang International Bazaar

Start your day with an early breakfast, then begin the 9-hour drive to Urumqi. The long journey is rewarded by stunning landscapes along the way.

On the way, stop at the fascinating Urho Ghost City, also known as "Wind City." This eerie site, shaped by rain and wind, has rock formations resembling ancient ruins. Take a shuttle bus to explore the surreal scenery.

Continue through the vast Gurbantunggut Desert, enjoying the changing views. Stop as needed to capture the landscape. Upon arrival in Urumqi, visit the bustling Xinjiang International Bazaar. Browse the market for local crafts, spices, textiles, and dried fruits, and enjoy regional snacks or shop for souvenirs.

Start your city tour in Urumqi with a visit to the Xinjiang Regional Museum. The museum displays over 50,000 artifacts, highlighting Xinjiang’s rich history and diverse cultures. Key exhibits include the Silk Road, ethnic customs, and the famous "Loulan Beauty" mummy. The museum’s architecture is influenced by traditional Uyghur styles.

Afterward, return to your hotel and enjoy some free time to relax.
