Ancient City Wall
After breakfast, travel 40 km to witness one of the world’s most incredible archaeological discoveries—the Terracotta Warriors. Created by China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuang, these life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots were buried for over 2,000 years until their discovery by local farmers in 1974. Standing before these meticulously crafted figures, you’ll be amazed by both Emperor Qin’s grand vision and the skill of ancient Chinese artisans. Before touring the museum, enjoy a hands-on experience where you can create your own miniature Terracotta Warrior with guidance from a local potter.
After lunch, head back to Xi'an to explore the Ancient City Wall, China’s largest and best-preserved fortification. Enter through the Hanguang Gate, just like Silk Road traders did centuries ago, and visit a small museum displaying original Tang Dynasty wall ruins that are over 1,400 years old. Walk or bike along the top of the wall for spectacular city views. Later, dive into the vibrant atmosphere of the Muslim Quarter, where you can sample delicious local dishes and experience a unique cultural fusion.
Finish your day with a visit to the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, a stunning recreation of China’s golden age. As evening falls, the area comes alive with lights, creating a magical atmosphere that echoes the grandeur and prosperity of the Tang Dynasty.

Xuanzang is also the inspiration for the character Tang Seng in the classic novel Journey to the West.
Next, take an enlightening tour of the Shaanxi History Museum. Wander through its modern exhibition halls, which display a vast array of artifacts, including porcelains, paintings, and currencies dating from the Zhou to Tang Dynasties (1100 BC to 907 AD).
